As a Home Daycare Provider, I wanted to share some of my beliefs about the benefits of sending your child to my home daycare. No two home daycares are the same so it is important to check out all your options. Because I am a mother, I know how important it is to find the right caregiver for your child and the right fit for your family which might include the right connection with the caregiver.

I believe that the care I give in a small group setting gives your child a head start. Having one constant caregiver provides your child with stability and a sense of security in a safe, warm, loving environment, crucial for each child’s early development before heading off to school.

Each child that comes into my care is treated as if they were one of my own. I provide each child with their own room to sleep in, giving them the sense of being in their own home. I personalize each child’s rest time with the same routine, like a sound machine, night light, or dark room. I also provide warm, nutritious homemade meals for lunchtime and fresh fruit at snack times.

Our morning consists of theme crafts and circle times. I believe that following a child’s lead is very important. I plan a theme-based schedule that gives the children and me opportunities to discuss, play, and learn new subjects. (These include holidays, dinosaurs, sharing and caring, and safety.) Each week, I plan outings such as weekly trips to our local library, local parks, or the Early Years Programs. Field trips are a highlight as this gives the children the opportunity to learn and grow while exploring a new environment. Field trips include places such as Bronte Creek, farms, and the Royal Botanical Gardens.

I believe that every day is a special day to be enjoyed to the fullest with my daycare children, being positive, and having a great relationship with all of my families is very important to me.
